Don Tequilas in Du Quoin is the best Mexican restaurant in southern Illinois. The food is delicious! The Margaritas are incredibly delicious!!! Seriously, don't leave without trying the slushie margarita. They always have specials of some kind and the lunch menu is great for a budget. My mom and I love this place.
We stopped in here on a random Tuesday afternoon. The service and food were both great!! I'm very picky about my chicken burrito, and they more than passed the test!! The chips and cheese were great as well! My boyfriend had the beef tacos and said they were great also! Definitely recommend!!
Yes would recommend as best Mexican restaurant in area. Salsa was mild and good texture. Ordered Burrito bearing restaurant's name with beef. Definitely lived up to having the Tequilas name on it. If you hungry then may want to order 2 of them. Service was great as everyone's drinks stayed full, extra chips brought before running out. Only issue was super small one but the salt shaker brought to table needed to be wiped down first.

I've been going to this restaurant for 20 years and have never had a bad experience. Staff here are always friendly and offer attentive service. It can get crowded on Friday nights, but otherwise it's a friendly neighborhood place. Highly recommend.
We brought our entire softball team and families here after a game. They were able to seat our entire group with no issues. We had one server, but she was AMAZING! Everything came out correct and all the bills were correct as well. She kept up on chips, salsa and drinks like a champ. Will go for sure next chance we get!
